According to the Deputy Mayor of the capital Vladimir Efimov, in the next 5 years the volume of investments in fixed capital in real terms should grow by more than a quarter. The leading sectors for investments will be pharmaceuticals, medicine, chemical industry, instrument engineering and microelectronics.

In the first half of the year, investments in fixed capital totalled RUB 1.4 trillion, which in comparable prices is 20.9% higher than in 2020 and 19.7% more than in the first half of 2019.
Today, the capital accounts for about 18% of the all-Russian volume of investment in fixed capital and about half of Russia's foreign direct investment.

Euromir Group LLC has won the right to conclude a deal with Trust Bank to buy the Moscow business centre Dominion Tower, designed by architect Zaha Hadid.

The auction for the sale of this building was recognised as cancelled, as only one bid was submitted for it, as follows from the materials of the trading platform - "Russian Auction House".
A representative of Trust said that, according to the terms of the auction, their only participant has the right to conclude a purchase and sale agreement for the business centre within 14 days after the publication of the auction protocol.
The initial price of Dominion Tower was set at 2.534 billion rubles, the minimum price - 2.215 billion rubles.

The company Euromir Group is equally owned by Irina Kabanova and Tatiana Petukhova. They also own the management company of the Moscow club Metelitsa on a parity basis

Dominion Tower was built in 2015 on Sharikopodshipnikovskaya Street. The total area of the building is 21,475 square metres and it has ten floors, including two underground. Bank Trust received this asset from Binbank.

Moscow has moved up two positions to rank 18th in the annual Global Cities Index 2021.

The rating assesses the level of globalisation of 156 cities in the world. Moscow was ranked between Seoul and Madrid, with Rome, Toronto and Amsterdam trailing behind.
The top of the rating includes New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Los Angeles.

Deputy Mayor of the capital Vladimir Efimov noted that the capital keeps the first place among the cities by the number of museums. Other selection criteria - digital economy and advanced technologies, which in the conditions of the pandemic became the main drivers of positive changes in the positions of cities in the rating.

The number of individuals with brokerage accounts on the Moscow Exchange has increased by 6.2 million people since the beginning of 2021 and reached 15 million. 24.6 million brokerage accounts have been opened by them.

For comparison: 5 million people opened brokerage accounts in the whole of 2020, and 1.9 million people in 2019.

The leaders in terms of the number of private investor accounts opened are Tinkoff Bank (7.6 million), Sberbank (5 million), VTB (1.9 million), Alfa Bank (1.4 million), and BKS (0.8 million).

Private investors provide a significant part of turnover on the exchange's markets. Their share in the trading volume of shares is 40%, bonds - 14%, derivatives - 44%, currencies - 13%.

Not only the number of accounts is growing, but also the activity of people on the exchange - more than 2 million people make deals every month.
