Second Russian-Chinese Forum to address implementation of International Cooperation and Export national project

A meeting of the same name will bring together representatives of 21 regions of the Far Eastern and Siberian Federal Districts. It will serve as a platform for open dialogue between exporters and government officials and for sharing best practices.

✍️ The Russian-Chinese Forum will also feature B2B talks between Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs, as well as interactive events for businesses. In total, more than 40 thematic venues will be organised, devoted to cooperation between Russia and China in various fields.

🌴 Friends for Leadership to take part in EEF 2026

Representatives of the international community of opinion leaders and entrepreneurs will attend key sessions of the EEF business programme, as well as events held as part of the Falcon Day International Forum.

About 100 Friends for Leadership participants from 35 countries will present their projects in the following areas:

🔹 sustainable development;
🔹 social entrepreneurship;
🔹 new technologies.

Brainstorming and strategy sessions are planned for the delegates, aimed at developing joint solutions to pressing global challenges.

📌 Friends for Leadership is a permanent international pool of foreign youth involved in the promotion of multilateral economic and humanitarian projects. The community was developed in 2018 through the joint efforts of the Centre for International Promotion of National Initiatives Foundation and the Roscongress Foundation at SPIEF.

🌴 EEF 2026 full business programme published, including list of speakers

The programme comprises more than 70 sessions divided into five thematic tracks.

🔹 The Living and Working in the Far East track will examine the development of the region’s infrastructure, education, workforce development, and other topics.

🔹 The Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investments track will focus on the development of preferential regimes and the stock market in the Far East, the financing of infrastructure projects, and subsoil use.

🔹 The Far East — A Pole of International Interaction track will address economic and technological cooperation between Russia and other countries.

🔹 The Technologies of the Present and the Future track will highlight the development of AI, the use of robotics in production, and the creation of unmanned systems.

🔹 The Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth track will centre on the development of the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Siberian Railway, and other transport arteries; the modernization of port infrastructure; the development of freight and passenger transport; and other topics.

🇷🇺 🇲🇲 Russia-Myanmar Business Forum brought together more than 80 Russian companies and over 130 representatives from Russia.

According to Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian business is ready to move from one-off deals to systematic work.

👉 Particular emphasis was placed on balance: Russia is interested both in promoting its goods on the Myanmar market and in increasing imports from Myanmar. The parties called for more active efforts in this direction.

👉 In the field of investment, the flagship project named was the construction of an organic fertiliser plant by the Roscongress Foundation.

“Construction is proceeding actively, and we expect the plant to deliver its first output as early as the beginning of next year,”

Reshetnikov stressed.

📌 The forum is being held at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics as part of the visit of President of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing to Russia. It brings together representatives of relevant ministries and government agencies, as well as of the business and expert communities of both countries.

🌴 Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Alexei Chekunkov, invited Thai delegation to EEF 2026 during the 9th meeting of the Thailand–Russia Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation in Moscow.

📊 During the meeting, Russia and Thailand reaffirmed their commitment to expanding trade turnover, which grew by 2.3% last year. Russian exports to Thailand increased by a quarter, and rose by another 50% in the first five months of this year.

The parties also discussed:

🔹 prospects for expanding cooperation in pharmaceuticals, IT, fintech, and creative industries;

🔹 increasing investment collaboration, including in the Russian Far East;

🔹 strengthening financial and banking interaction;

🔹 establishing infrastructure for settlements, businesses, and investors;

🇷🇺 🇲🇾 Malaysia invited to participate in key Russian international events

Malaysian representatives have received invitations to attend Russia’s major international forums, including EEF and SPIEF.

The proposal was made by Russia’s Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov at the 5th meeting of the Joint Malaysia–Russia Commission for Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation. The meeting was held in Vladivostok and attended by Malaysia’s Minister of Higher Education Zambry Abdul Kadir.

The session focused on several priority areas for cooperation, such as:
🔹 energy;
🔹 digitalization;
🔹 environmental sustainability, etc.

👉 A significant portion of the discussion was dedicated to advancing partnerships in science and education.

The discussion is included in the business program of the BRICS Forum, which will be held in the capital as part of the "India Day 2026" festival.

💫 India will be the partner country for REW 2026. As part of the forum's exhibition program, India will present projects of eight major Indian oil companies, including those implemented jointly with Russia.

"Russia is interested in attracting Indian investments into the Russian oil and gas sector and in developing a distribution network with the participation of Russian companies in India. The relations between the countries are of a strategic partnership nature, and the leaders of the states are in constant contact. Mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of oil and gas projects is being actively promoted,"

— emphasized Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

Advisor to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov noted that the joint projects of the countries are becoming an example of mutually beneficial exchange.

"At the same time, it is important that cooperation extends far beyond the bilateral track — Moscow and New Delhi are actively coordinating positions within BRICS and other integration associations,"

— said Kobyakov.

🇶🇦 🇷🇺The delegation of Qatar has been invited to the Eastern Economic Forum 2026 and the Falcon Day Forum.

🌴 The Arab state's participation in these events was the key topic of a meeting between Advisor to the President of Russia Anton Kobyakov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to the Russian Federation Ahmed Nasser Al-Thani.

Special attention was paid to the work of the Falcon House pavilion, which will be featured as part of the Far East Street exhibition.

“Significant efforts are being made to preserve this bird species, including in cooperation with Russia. Qatar is interested in developing falconry centres, breeding great bustards, and discussing the possibility of opening centres in the Republic of Kalmykia and Astrakhan Region. I am confident that, together, we can be highly productive in our work,”

🌴 EEF 2026 sport programme published.

International tournaments, meetings with football legends, a mass fun run, a unique open-water swim, and many other exciting events are included in the sport programme of the 11th Eastern Economic Forum.

🏃‍♀️For the tenth consecutive year, the Forum’s sport programme will begin with the traditional 5-km run on Russky Island.

📌On 2 September at 6:00 a.m., the starting grounds for Forum participants and residents of Primorye Territory will open near the Primorsky Oceanarium.

A coastal rowing tournament, in a discipline set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 Summer Games, will be held as a city-wide celebration.

🇷🇺🇨🇳Another new addition will be the longest one-day mass ultramarathon open-water swim in Russia and Asia, in which participants from Russia and China will cover 68 kilometres along the Amur River.
