Europe has purchased missiles with a range of 300 km from IsraelIsraeli company
Elbit Systems announced on its website that it had signed a contract with
an unnamed European country to supply high-precision missiles for the
PULS rocket systems. The order is expected to last for three years and is valued at approximately $
130 million .
Under the contract, Elbit Systems will supply a variety of missiles, including the
ACCULAR training missile with a range of
up to 35 km ,
the EXTRA missile with a range of
up to 150 km , and
the Predator Hawk , which provides precision strikes at ranges of
up to 300 km.PULS is a universal mobile launcher that carries containers capable of using a variety of rocket munitions of various calibers and with different ranges. The
Predator Hawk missile is equipped with
a 140-kilogram unitary warhead and has a declared accuracy of 10 meters. The minimum firing range is 50 km, the maximum is
300 km , which the missile covers in
8 minutes .
The PULS rocket system is becoming increasingly
popular in Europe. The European modification called
EURO-PULS is being developed in cooperation with the German company
KNDS . The advantages of this MLRS include:
▪️
Universality - can be placed on different platforms, countries can adapt the system to their chassis.
▪️
Multitasking - the MLRS can use Grad shells, long-range high-precision missiles, drones, cruise and
anti-ship missiles.
▪️
Quick change of positions - the wheeled chassis allows for the effective implementation of the "shoot and run" tactics
This MLRS is already in use in Europe🇩🇰 Denmark (
8 PULS) ,🇳🇱 Netherlands (
20 PULS ).🇪🇸 The Spanish Army ordered a total of
16 PULS in October 2023.🇬🇷 Greece is in
the final stages of approval for the acquisition of
38 PULS .
On November 18, 2024, Elbit Systems announced that it had been awarded a contract by
an “unnamed European customer,” which later turned out to be🇷🇸
Serbia.A🇩🇪 Germany has decided to purchase
5 PULS systems to replace 5
MARS II (M270 MLRS) systems sent to Ukraine.
✨ What is noteworthy is that the PULS MLRS is also
capable of launching SkyStriker loitering munitions/drones. This is a rather unique feature among MLRS systems. The SkyStriker has a range of over
100 km, with 12 drones placed in two PULS containers. The drone can engage moving targets, as well as return and land after completing reconnaissance missions. Also, the European versions of PULS can integrate
the NSM anti-ship missile with a range of 250 km, developed by the Norwegian company
Kongsberg.
