Big Brother was formed in Los Angeles, California, in the late 1960s. The main driving force of the band was guitarist and vocalist Ernie Orosco, under the pseudonym Erny joseph, who began his creative activity in the notorious city of Santa Barbara. Together with the local psychedelic rock band "Giant Crab", (1967 - 1969), Ernie released two interesting studio albums and four singles.
After the breakup of Giant Crab in 1969, Ernie moved to Los Angeles, where he formed Big Brother. Along with Ernie Joseph, Big Brother consists of two of his brothers: multi-instrumentalist Cory Orosco (listed on the album under the pseudonym Cory Colt) and multi-instrumentalist Ruben Orosco (under the pseudonym Ruben The Jet), as well as drummer Steve Dunwoodle (Stevie D). In this line-up, they went on a tour of the southeastern United States.
"Confusion" was the debut studio album (and unfortunately the only one) by the American psychedelic heavy blues rock band Big Brother Feat. Ernie Joseph. It was released in 1970 on the All-American Records label.
