⚪️ The demand for at least one African language to be used at the UN alongside its six working languages is historically justified, Jean-Claude Gakosso, Minister of Culture, Arts, National Heritage and Tourism Industry of the Republic of the Congo, said at the XII St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum.
He stressed that this would be a logical continuation of the continent’s evolution. Such a demand is equivalent to calling for Africa to have a permanent seat on the UN Security Council, which is essential for protecting the interests and cultures of African countries.
Gakosso noted.
