🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin addressed the XII St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. Here are the key takeaways:
🔷 Russia has historically developed as a country where different peoples, languages and customs have interacted. For Russia, unity lies in diversity.
🔷 When political and economic ties are frozen or put on hold because of various disagreements and sanctions, culture builds bridges.
🔷 Genuine art belongs to everyone. Shared values do not mean uniformity; they provide a common foundation and shape the language spoken by all humanity.
🔷 Russia is developing culture not as a privilege, but as an opportunity available to everyone. The International United Cultures Forum is one of the key platforms for this work, and it is extremely important to hold it annually.
🔷 It is wonderful that the forum’s programme now includes a youth track. Young people are actively contributing to the development of modern cultural practices, including virtual museum exhibitions, online educational programmes and internships, and digital creative spaces.
🔷 Continuing exchanges between school theatres is a fully fledged educational practice.
🔷 The Soul of Russia project makes cultural heritage understandable, truly familiar and meaningful to everyone.
🔷 The legendary Russian Seasons, reciprocal years of culture and Days of Russian Spiritual Culture are enjoying tremendous success in countries around the world. Russian soloists and ensembles take part in the world’s leading festivals and competitions, while Russian cities warmly welcome touring international artists.
🔷 The Diamond Butterfly Award of the Eurasian Film Academy is gaining momentum.
🔷 Russia’s fundamental education in arts and culture is the best in the world. The country combines classical education with new technologies.
