Разработчики Ethereum Classic объявили об успешном обновлении сети на блоке 5,900,000, которое позволило устранить так называемую «бомбу сложности».
🔺Определить точное число обновленных нод сложно, однако, по словам участвующих в проекте разработчиков, большинство узлов и майнинговых пулов сообщили об обновлении своего программного обеспечения задолго до запланированного апгрейда сети, отмечает CoinDesk.
Сразу после апгрейда не было зафиксировано никаких признаков негативных последствий, либо ошибок. Ожидается, что обновление сократит время, необходимое для создания блока, и еще больше отдалит, как технически, так и идеологически блокчейны Еthereum и Ethereum Classic.
Обсуждение форка началось еще в 2016 году. В то время как комьюнити Ethereum склоняется к переходу к Proof-of-stake, сообщество Ethereum Classic решило продолжать использовать Proof-of-work.
