In particular, we are talking about the K-1 combat grenades, which are equipped with toxic irritant substances — CS and CN. Their use is prohibited by the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Use of Chemical Weapons of 13.01.1993.
The Russian Armed Forces use ammunition with toxic substances, dropping them from FPV drones. When grenades with a chemical charge are activated, their toxic compounds affect the human mucous membranes, primarily the eyes and respiratory tract.
