Why is it always about films and series, right?
It’s autumn outside, which is just the right time to binge-watch something - oh, sorry - binge-read something.
Now, calling War and Peace a binge-worthy book might be a little ambitious. Worth it? Definitely. But unless you’re planning to disappear for a week or two, perhaps we should start smaller. Autumn, after all, sets the perfect scene for staying in, curling up under a warm blanket with something hot in your cup and getting a bit too invested in someone else’s 19th-century problems.
So here are a few Russian classics you can actually binge-read this autumn:
📖 White Nights — Fyodor Dostoevsky
📖 The Death of Ivan Ilyich — Leo Tolstoy
📖 The Overcoat — Nikolai Gogol
📖 First Love — Ivan Turgenev
📖 The Queen of Spades — Alexander Pushkin
📖 Notes from Underground — Fyodor Dostoevsky
Now, with the apple pie, a warming drink and now a book, the DR team has officially got you covered for the season!
Enjoy, xoxo
