🌐 YouTube Premium removes ads, but leaves the platform’s three bigger problems untouched: the recommendation algorithm, the cluttered interface, and the lack of a real personal library. The subscription makes YouTube quieter, but it doesn’t give control back to the user.
Instead of searching for one perfect “YouTube replacement,” AppAddict suggests building a modular client from focused tools: SponsorBlock and DeArrow for ads and clickbait, FreeTube and Yattee for escaping the algorithm, Unhook and Control Panel for YouTube for cleaning up the interface, and yt-dlp or Downie for keeping important videos. Each product does one job well, and together they create a better YouTube experience.
