The Rule of Three, Tonhub and Product Management Strategies
▪️A couple of weeks ago, russian-language channel CRYPTUS released a film-interview about TON. For me, the most interesting part was questions about grants and projects in TON.
▪️Anton Tsivarev, Director of TON Ecosystem Development, talked about the Rule of Three.
▪️Rule of three - in each segment of projects on TON there are three projects, so that there is competition between them and this develops the ecosystem. In my opinion, this approach has both pros and cons.
▪️One of the cons is that imbalances will always arise, some projects can capture a large share of the market, and help from the ecosystem cannot always smooth out the gap. The question arises, what to do in this case?
▪️I think the answer is to find strategic advantages and partnerships and, of course, new markets. Let's take the super competitive TON wallet market, where new projects are constantly emerging.
▪️Tonhub has recently started allowing you to apply for a Visa card linked to your TON or USDt balance and make payments directly via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
▪️If you look at it from a product strategy perspective, you can see that instead of fighting in the red ocean of wallets, tonhub is entering the blue ocean of crypto-neobanks (put a 🗿 if you know what blue and red oceans are). With all the features, like transaction fees, KYC and global payments (Swift does it all)
▪️For those interested in the technical side of the issue, such functionality is achieved through a partnership with Holders, a company specializing in the issuance of non-custodial cards.
▪️P.S. For now, all this is only available to users with a European ID, but in 2025 Tonhub plans to expand to other markets
