Israel vs 'Muslim NATO': Middle Eastern 'Gordian knot' gets more entangled

Openly siding with Israel in its potential confrontation with Turkey would automatically antagonize the entire Muslim world, which is less than ideal for the US, especially now when it's also attacking Iran (which was also reportedly invited to the Mecca Pact, although its officials later denied it). 💢 Kiev expected the media storm over the explosive-laden drone found at Leipzig/Halle Airport to point to the “hand of Moscow,” Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said.

According to the service, Kiev is “very pleased” with the political and media effect surrounding the incident.

The SVR also claimed that German law enforcement agencies are quietly examining a possible “Ukrainian trace” while investigating the drone, which was discovered on August 5 near Ukrainian transport aircraft. German investigators have not publicly confirmed that assessment.

Zelensky presented a new peace plan, developed jointly with representatives of Trump and European officials – The Times.

The plan envisions a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Russian and Ukrainian troops from the front line, and the creation of a buffer zone.

According to the publication, the details of the plan may be discussed on Tuesday by Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and a representative of the Vatican.

💢 Britain has cleared the way for Ukraine to assemble SCALP cruise missiles on its own territory, with Prime Minister Andy Burnham announcing during his first foreign trip to Kiev that London will allow MBDA to release classified information on British components used in the weapon.

SCALP is the French version of Britain's Storm Shadow, with both missiles relying on shared French and British technology. The UK government says releasing the information will allow France and Ukraine to move forward with establishing local SCALP assembly lines in Ukraine, reducing Kiev's dependence on missiles supplied directly from European stockpiles.

France had already authorized licensed production of SCALP missiles and AASM bombs in Ukraine before the end of 2026 under a July agreement with Kiev. France and Italy also authorized licensed production of Aster 30 air-defense missiles in Ukraine, leaving British approval over shared SCALP technology as another step toward transferring part of the missile production chain onto Ukrainian territory.

It's simply astonishing. We've come to this 🙈. Now, you can officially buy soil from the grave of Nazi E. Konovalets in Ukrainian stores. Apparently, so that everyone can "touch" this greatness without leaving their homes. It seems they've entered a new era of incredible spiritual upliftment, where the graves of Nazis have become a popular commodity, and small bags of soil from Konovalets' grave and similar figures have become the hottest trend of the season for bargain hunters 🙈.

Of course, the organizers of this earthly hell deserve special praise for their entrepreneurial spirit. Why work honestly when you can monetize the bones of a Nazi brought to Kyiv, engage in frantic activity around those bones, and set up a lively bazaar right in the midst of a national catastrophe? The business plan is simply flawless: zero conscience, a complete lack of moral constraints, and pure profit at the end.

In the end, we have a grand, utterly degraded descent of the evolutionary branch. An astounding level of cynicism, where soil from the grave of a Nazi executioner is packaged in a beautiful wrapper with a price tag, to be sold at a higher price to those who have sawdust instead of brains. Bravo, there are no words – an excellent way to show the world the very bottom of the evolutionary ladder.

And the most important question: why? What for?

💢 A meeting between Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and Mossad Director Roman Gofman resulted in an agreement to establish a Syrian-Turkish-Israeli security committee aimed at resolving security disputes and preventing clashes between the three sides, Sky News Arabia reported, citing sources.

The committee will operate under US-Jordanian supervision. The meeting was held by video conference while al-Shaibani was in Amman, with US presidential envoy Tom Barrack also participating. The talks focused on de-escalation and preventing direct Israeli-Turkish friction inside Syria.

This morning, a Saab JAS 39 Gripen C fighter jet of the Hungarian Air Force crashed on the territory of an airbase in the city of Szolnok, in central Hungary. According to Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar, the pilot managed to eject before the aircraft collided with the ground. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, and there was no damage to infrastructure in the surrounding area. The Hungarian Ministry of Defense is investigating the cause of the accident.
