If you ever send him loops, just know what you’re potentially getting yourself into. In my experience, once you have a record together, you can end up fighting for what you believe is your fair share of the advance, publishing, and master royalties, while he tries to take the majority of what was allocated to the producers all while appealing to how cool he is and the fact that he’s connected with the artist etc.
And when you stand up for your side, you have to be ready for the possibility of losing the connection in the process.
I was willing to fight for what I believed was fair, even if it meant losing the relationship. I won that fight, but the way he started acting afterwards told me everything I needed to know.
