Pontiac Aztek - среднеразмерный кроссовер, выпускавшийся концерном GM с 2000 по 2005 года на общей платформе с Buick Rendezvous. При этом приобретатели Pontiac Aztek остались большей частью довольны покупкой – настолько, что в 2001 году J.D. Power and Associates присвоила автомобилю звание «Наиболее привлекательный SUV”. В опросах этой компании за ним остались первые и вторые места в своем классе по большинству критериев. За исключением внешнего вида, разумеется.

Pontiac Aztek is a mid-size crossover manufactured by GM from 2000 to 2005 on a common platform with Buick Rendezvous. One of the latest models released under the Pontiac badge (the brand ceased to exist in 2010), it received an "innovation-daring for GM" design which few people liked. This was reflected in uncompromisingly critical materials in automotive media and not in the highest sales (the maximum annual sales in the US market counted 27,793 cars in 2002). The crossover hit most ratings of "ugliest cars" and even headed one of those by The Daily Telegraph.
At the same time, owners of Pontiac Aztek were mostly satisfied with the purchase - so much so J.D. Power and Associates awarded it with "Most Appealing Entry Sport Utility Vehicle" in 2001. The car reached first and second places in class for most of the criteria. Except those for exterior design, of course.

Tesla is American electric vehicles (EV) and energy storage device manufacturer. The company was founded in July 2003 by a group of engineers and entrepreneurs, Elon Musk became the head and press official of Tesla Incorporated.
Tesla’s current model range consists of three cars - Model S liftback, Model X crossover and Model 3 sedan; Tesla Semi and 2020 Tesla Roadster are at the development stage.
The company is developing its own charging stations (Supercharger) network, providing free express battery recharging of any Tesla EV. Vehicle sales are performed through the company's website, which to some extent contradicts laws of most states: for this reason, litigations caused closure of Tesla EV sales in Virginia and Texas.

Изначально модель была ориентирована на молодежь, уже желающую иметь быстрый автомобиль, но еще не накопившую на полноразмерное купе или кабриолет. В качестве основы для Мустанга была взята платформа от семейного седана Ford Falcon, от него же было позаимствовано большое количество агрегатов. Старт новой модели оказался более чем удачным – к концу 1964 года, за неполные 9 месяцев с начала выпуска, было продано больше четверти миллиона экземпляров. К настоящему моменту продано более 9.5 миллионов автомобилей шести поколений.
По-настоящему популярный Ford Mustang можно часто увидеть в кино (например, ему досталась «главная автомобильная роль» в фильме Буллит) и музыкальных видеоклипах. Также Мустанг станет одной из немногих моделей авто, которой будет посвящен собственный музей – открытие такового запланировано на 2018 год в городе Конкорд, Северная Каролина.

The Ford Mustang is a car considered to be the pioneer of pony car class: a high-speed car with two-door coupe or convertible body, less powerful, smaller in size and cheaper than muscle cars. Mustang's competitors in different years were Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird, AMC Javelin, Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Challenger.
Initially, the model was targeted to young people who already want to have a fast car, but do not have enough money to purchase a full-size coupe or convertible. First generation Mustang shares a platform with 1960s Ford Falcon, as well as a number of various details and components. New model launch was more than successful - by the end of 1964, in less than 9 months since the beginning of production, over a quarter of a million cars had been sold. Our days, over 9.5 million Mustangs of six generations were sold.
A truly popular Ford Mustang can be often seen in movies (for example, it got "the main car role" in Bullitt) and music videos. Also Mustang will be one of few car models with its own museum - the opening is planned for 2018 in Concorde, North Carolina.

Mario G. Andretti (born February 28, 1940) is an Italian-born American racing driver, one of the most successful Americans in autosports history. He won multiple titles in multi-stage championships (Formula 1 in 1978, four IndyCar titles), also as in Indy 500 and Daytona 500 single race contests. Obstacle to more titles for Andretti were frequent technical issues and accidents, including frightening crash of his car during the Indianapolis 500 qualification in 2003, when Mario was already 63 years old.
In 2000, the Associated Press and RACER magazine named Mario Andretti Driver of the Century. He was also Driver of the Year in 1967, 1978 and 1984 and the U.S. Driver of the Quarter Century in 1992. Andretti was inducted into the Hoosier Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 1970, the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1990, the United States National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in 1996, the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2001, the Automotive Hall of Fame in 2005 and the Diecast Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2006 he received the highest Italian state award and became the Commendatore dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (simply shortened as the Commendatore) - the only other autosports recipient of the same title was Enzo Ferrari.

Tucker 48 – малосерийный автомобиль, производившийся в течение 1948 года компанией известного инженера Престона Такера. В производство он пошел под индексом, обозначавшим модельный год.
Четырехдверный седан заднемоторной компоновки получил адаптированный вертолетный двигатель Franklin O-355 (355 куб. дюймов (5.475 л.), 166 л.с. и 504 Н·м) и 4-ступенчатую механическую КПП Tucker Y-1, являвшуюся усиленной модификацией КПП Cord 810/812. С таким силовым агрегатом автомобиль достигал максимальной скорости в 200 км/ч, а разгон до первой сотни занимал всего 10 секунд. Средняя фара, установленная над хромированной решеткой передка, поворачивалась вслед за колесами.
Организационные, финансовые и юридические сложности ограничили количество произведенных автомобилей 51 экземпляром, а два года спустя, в 1950, стали причиной закрытия Tucker Corporation. Существующие на сегодняшний день Tucker 48 (по меньшей мере 3 утрачены, еще несколько требуют глубокой реставрации) оцениваются аукционным домом RM Sothbey’s в сумму, не меньшую $1.200.000 за автомобиль в коллекционном состоянии.

Tucker 48 is a small-series car, produced during 1948 by a company of famous engineer Preston T. Tucker. While being called Tucker Torpedo during design stage (this name was changed in order not to recall the WWII), the car received original exterior and innovative construction. Model year index later became an official market name of the car.
Rear-engine four-door sedan received modified Franklin O-355 helicopter engine (355 cubic inches (5.475 liters), 166 hp and 504 Nm) and a 4-speed manual gearbox Tucker Y-1, which was a modified version of Cord 810/812. Tucker 48 reached a maximum speed of 200 km / h, and acceleration to the first hundred took only 10 seconds. Middle headlight, mounted above a chrome grille on the front, was designed to turn after the wheels.
Organizational, financial and legal complications limited the number of cars produced by only 51 pieces, and two years later, in 1950, caused the closure of Tucker Corporation. Currently existing Tucker 48 (at least 3 lost, some require deep restoration) are estimated by RM Sothbey's auction house in an amount not less $1.200.000 for each in collectible condition.

Ford Crown Victoria – полноразмерный заднеприводный седан, выпускавшийся с 1992 по 2011 год. Является развитием предшествовавшей модели, LTD Crown Victoria, имевшей ту же платформу. Ее Crown Victoria делила с крайне похожими Lincoln Town Car и Mercury Grand Marquis – как и право называться последним полнорамным седаном, производившимся в Северной Америке. В отличие от своих «близнецов», наибольшую популярность Crown Victoria заслужила в качестве такси и автомобиля полиции – для последней выпускалась модификация Police Interceptor, отличавшаяся настройками большинства систем и специальной комплектацией.

Ford Crown Victoria is a full-size rear-wheel drive sedan manufactured from 1992 to 2011. It follows previous Ford model, LTD Crown Victoria, which had the same platform. This platform was also shared with very similar Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis, and all three can be called the last full-frame sedan produced in North America. Unlike its "twins", Crown Victoria became most known as a taxi and a police car – law enforcement agencies were able to purchase special version of this car, called Police Interceptor, which had different settings of most systems and special equipment packs.
