Why I do these little things for myself🤎

I think life can easily become a list of responsibilities. You wake up, work, solve problems, show up for people, chase goals, pay bills, and keep moving because there is always something that needs your attention. And somewhere in the middle of all that, you can forget that you are also a person who deserves to enjoy the life you’re working so hard to build.

That’s why I take myself on dates. Why I get my nails done, have my little coffee, dress up for no particular reason, and make ordinary days feel special.
Not because my life is perfect. Not because I have everything figured out. And certainly not because I need to show anyone that I’m doing well.

I do it because I don’t want my entire life to become preparation for a future I’m hoping to enjoy.

I want to enjoy the life I’m living now, too.
I want to learn how to be ambitious without postponing happiness, responsible without neglecting myself, and independent without forgetting to be gentle with myself.

I want to look back one day and remember more than the things I achieved. I want to remember the little coffees, the quiet evenings, the spontaneous dates, the moments I felt beautiful, and the ordinary days that turned out to be lovely.

I’m not just building a life I want to live someday. I’m learning to live it while I’m building it. 🤎
