📹 YouTube is testing videos exclusive to the TOP 1% of viewers
YouTube has started testing a new format where videos are only shown to the channel’s most engaged viewers.
The rest of the audience won’t be able to access the video — even with a direct link.
—> What you need to know:
• Only the top 1% most engaged viewers can see the video.
• The content stays hidden even if someone has the direct URL.
• The format is designed for testing new ideas and keeping core audiences engaged.
• Loyalty is now measured by activity, not just subscriptions.
• This could become a new way to “warm up” audiences inside platforms.
If the format shows strong engagement metrics, other platforms will likely start experimenting with similar mechanics too.
Especially platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where audience engagement has already become one of the main algorithm signals.
