🔴On September 1, the United States resumed large-scale strikes on Iranian territory after a roughly month-long decline in the intensity of hostilities. CENTCOM reported strikes on air defense facilities, radar systems, maritime infrastructure, and IRGC facilities. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on U.S.-linked facilities in Iraq, Bahrain, and Jordan.
🔴On September 1, Iranian President M. Pezeshkian stated Tehran's readiness to return to the implementation of the June ceasefire agreements, provided that the United States fulfills its own obligations.
🔴On September 5–6, the military confrontation spread directly to the oil tanker fleet in the area of the Strait of Hormuz. The United States struck three Iran-linked tankers following attacks on American warships. The Iranian side continued actions against vessels that did not comply with the restrictions established by Tehran. The average number of cargo ship transits through the strait dropped to 10 per day, and on September 5, only two transits were recorded.
