DON'T GO ALL IN DANGOTE REFINERY IPO IMMEDIATELY IT GOES LIVE.
At ₦525 per share, Dangote Refinery's post-IPO implied valuation would be approximately ₦65.2 trillion based on about 124.23 billion shares.
For perspective, that's roughly 41.5% of the entire NGX equity market capitalization based on the latest available NGX figure.
My personal benchmark would be simple:
If DGOTE's market valuation at launch is above 25% of the total NGX market valuation, I would be extremely cautious about buying immediately.
At the current NGX valuation, 25% is approximately ₦39.3 trillion.
That doesn't automatically mean the share is overvalued.
It simply means the launch valuation deserves serious scrutiny relative to the entire Nigerian listed equity market.
