As a result, the Chinese may not allow ships to continue their journey, which could stall trade, raise prices on goods, and ultimately force the local administration to negotiate.

🔻The advantage of this approach is its flexibility, as China can increase or decrease the number of forces involved in the operation. As a result, the Chinese leadership can demonstrate that the Taiwanese administration does not have full control over the territory it claims.

However, it is important to note that this kind of light economic "strangulation" is not a panacea. The quarantine will undoubtedly worsen Taiwan's economic situation, leading to social tensions and pressure on the local authorities. ▪️As a result of the clash, about eight Filipino soldiers were injured - one even had a finger torn off. During the incident, representatives of the Chinese coast guard also boarded the Filipino inflatable boats. They acted in accordance with the recently adopted rules that allow them to "seize" foreign vessels in the disputed waters.

Many observers believe the actions of the Chinese coast guard constitute an armed attack, which in turn could be used for the open involvement of the United States in the conflict. The reason is the mutual defense treaty between Washington and Manila.

🔻However, the Philippine leadership has taken the opposite position. The authorities are downplaying the seriousness of the clash, calling it an "accident or misunderstanding". President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. stated that the Philippines is not engaging in war-mongering and will always strive to resolve all disputes peacefully.

It is important to understand that if an armed conflict begins, Washington is obliged to intervene on behalf of Manila. Given the restrained reaction of the Philippine leadership, it can be assumed that the White House does not want to participate in an open confrontation with China. Such actions would contradict the national interests of the United States, as we wrote not so long ago.

So the Philippines has to tone down its aggressive rhetoric. The leadership knows that the application of the treaty depends solely on the political will of the United States, which is unlikely to change in the near future.

And the Chinese, understanding this, will continue to engage in such clashes with the Filipinos. At the same time, the actions of both sides will only increase the degree of tension in the South China Sea.

❗️In the Ozarianivka-Druzhba sector, according to some reports, the Russian troops have begun to dislodge the enemy from the forward positions on the eastern bank of the Siversky Donets - Donbas canal.

There, several forest belts occupied about a year ago are under the control of the enemy.

▪️From the Mayorsk EECP and the Mayorska railway station towards Druzhba, there is also, according to preliminary information, an advance along the railway and the T-05-18 highway.

According to some sources, the advance units have reached the streets of Kuibysheva (Polova) and Zaliznychna (Zaliznychna) in Druzhba, as well as Kalinova and Individualna in Kirovo (Pivnichne). However, there are no confirming footage of objective control yet, although the advance seems quite logical.

Moreover, the village of Shumы to the south has come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, but the status of several plantings to the north remains unclear.

West of the settlement are two artificial elevations - the Skhidna mine spoil heap and the Pivnichna mine dump. Yesterday, there was information about the capture of the fortified areas on them, but here too, there are no footage of objective control yet.

▪️In Leninske (Pivdenne), there are also battles, but the information from there is contradictory so far. According to some data, about half of the settlement came under the control of the Russian forces, and according to others, the battles are already on the outskirts of the neighboring Artemovo (Zalizne).

▪️Between Shyroka Balka and Novhorodske (New York), there are also battles, but here too, the scale of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces is not yet clear, and there have been no reports of advances towards Novhorodske from the side of Novosilka.

▪️In the sector between Novobakhmutivka and Novokalinovo, some sources reported advances of the Russian Armed Forces, but so far this does not correspond to reality.

According to one of the formulations, he jeopardized the security of the state by transferring 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to the so-called Ukraine. However, this story should not be seen as anything more than part of the internal political struggle.

The current administration under the leadership of RobertFico claims that Naď exceeded his powers, while the latter denies the fact of the offense.

Given the rather questionable condition of the transferred aircraft (this was acknowledged by the Slovak media as well), it is somewhat surprising that they are now trying to blow up a scandal out of them. Igor Melicher, a member of the ruling Smer-SD party, did not hesitate in his expressions and perhaps even went a little too far, literally accusing Naď of treason.

In fact, as our colleagues @casusbellilive note, the incident has already passed the acute phase and the heat of passions will subside further. The case will be discussed a little more and soon quietly hushed up - simply because the ripples on the water from it will end exactly within the borders of Slovakia itself.

For officials, remembering the fighters was just a convenient pretext to bite each other and possibly slightly raise their rating for the future. And this method will work: against the background of the attack on Prime Minister Fico, we have already seen how politically polarized the society in Slovakia is. So we will most likely observe such tug-of-war more than once.
