🇷🇺⭕️🇷🇺 VDV Celebrate 93 Years
Today marks the 93rd anniversary of the formation of the Russian Airborne Troops. Their history as the 'Winged Infantry' dates back to 1930 when parachute training was conducted for the personnel of the Moscow Military District. Since then, the Airborne Troops have come a long way from separate airborne units within the Air Force to becoming an elite branch of the Armed Forces.
Paratroopers have always been known for their strong character, determination, fearlessness, and brotherly solidarity, always ready to defend the Motherland at the first call. In difficult times, each of them is willing to stand shoulder to shoulder for the sake of their homeland.
During the Special Military Operation, the paratroopers have repeatedly demonstrated bravery and heroism. Risking their lives and sparing no effort, the 'Winged Infantry' fighters engage the enemy, remaining true to the legacy of their legendary commander: 'Knocked down – fight on your knees! Can't stand – attack while lying down!'
