📌Regarding the disclosure of American and British intelligence officers in Scandinavia
In theory, now all acting diplomats from this list should be declared persona non grata and sent back to their countries. Because if, in the process of diplomatic activity, you are carrying out intelligence activities, then it becomes impossible to remain and you must go home (although everyone always understands that diplomacy and intelligence are connected by fraternal ties). If no one is sent home, it will look like at least strange and not very "independent".
📌📌Is the very fact of such a dense targeting of Scandinavia remarkable?
Of course not. Northern Europe has long been of strategic interest to Washington and London. This is the Arctic. And control over the development of the regional military-political situation there is more than a priority task.
Moreover, say, Finland and Sweden are of interest to the Anglo-Saxons not only in their own right, but also in the context of conducting intelligence in relation to Russia. As, for example, the CIA actively uses Lithuania for this. It is absolutely normal when a particularly undisguised foreign intelligence apparatus is deployed in friendly countries to work on a nearby hostile country.
Another thing, I always do not really believe in uncontrolled plums. Therefore, if these stars of US-British intelligence have been extinguished, it may well have been necessary for some reason. Maybe even for these intelligence agencies themselves.
And yes, guys, out more journalists there as well 😉. They, too, are always only engaged in journalism.
