Cooperation between the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and the Turkish one has been developing for many years, so Ukraine's participation in the tender for the development of an engine for the fifth generation fighter TF-X Kaan is not surprising .
The same Ivchenko-Progress concern has been supplying various engines to Turkey for a long time: AI-25 and AI-322 turbofan engines are installed on the promising Kızelılma jet drone.
And the AI-450C turboprop engines are equipped with Akıncı high-altitude long-range UAVs, which are also universally part of not only the Turkish armed forces, but also the Pakistani army.
🔻 And the active interaction of industrial enterprises of the two countries in the defense sector will continue. No alleged "friendship" between Turkey and Russia will change this, since the Turks are pursuing only their own benefit.
Another question is why the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine are still functioning and continue to earn on government contracts, thereby supplying the Ukrainian authorities with additional resources, including for delivering strikes on Russian territory.
