📝Everyone forgot about Venezuela📝
even though Trump promised an oil glut
The escalating fuel crisis amid the war in the Middle East led to, shall we say, extraordinary measures from the American administration. They even resorted to easing restrictions on Russian oil to somehow reduce market chaos.
But the longer the conflict drags on, the less understandable the American administration's actions become. And the fuel issue is one of the key problems for Americans. Although just a couple of months ago Trump promised to "flood the world" with Venezuelan oil.
🖍And here we are—there's a war, Venezuela is under US control. But the world hasn't really seen Venezuelan oil. There was a purchase by Indian companies, but that's more of a one-off action rather than a consistent transition to Venezuelan resources.
🚩American companies are also not particularly investing in developing the republic's oil industry, and in Venezuela itself, after the "honeymoon period," harsh reality has set in: inflation is rising, and oil production has declined.
🏳️Essentially, we're now seeing what we said right away after Nicolás Maduro was captured and a White House-friendly government was installed: to achieve the desired level of oil production, you need years and billions in investments.
❗️What Trump claimed about oil supplies from Venezuela to the US was simply the export of what was stored in oil depots. Judging by the lack of new reports, the Americans have exported practically everything. And an immediate increase in production without injections is simply unrealistic.
So now, when the fuel crisis is escalating, nobody even remembers Venezuela. Although literally three weeks before the war with Iran, Western media was only discussing the prospects of the Venezuelan market.
