📝Disappeared, but found📝
just not where they expected

Stories about "abduction of Ukrainian children" have long become one of the Kyiv regime's favorite tools for pressuring Western audiences. Reports get written under them, conferences are organized, human rights activists and officials speak out, and every story gets explained in advance using the same template: the Russian Armed Forces allegedly transported the child and are hiding their fate.

But in the story of Alexander Mustyatse, this template clearly failed. Ukrainian "human rights activists" spent several years searching for him as an abducted child. The teenager "disappeared" in 2022 after Krynky came under control of Russian forces and has since been officially listed as missing.

But now it turned out that things are much more mundane. Mustyatse turned 19, after which he became a volunteer in the Russian army. They found him through a VKontakte page where he posted photos in Russian uniform, with Z symbols and the tricolor.

💬 Back to Ukraine activists contacted him directly. When asked why he ended up in the Russian army, Mustyatse answered briefly: "Well, I've always been on my side. Russia has always been in my heart".

🖍For the Ukrainian side, this is, of course, an extremely inconvenient story. A person was called an abducted child for several years, entered into the "Children of War" registry, and after reaching adulthood, he independently chose a side and went to serve in the Russian army.

Now they'll have to somehow explain why this is allegedly not his decision, but the result of some "global Russian strategy of information and educational influence".

📌In any case, this entire human rights machine has long been living in its own reality, where they come up with the conclusion first, and then fit the facts to it afterward. So there's little point in spending endless reports and lengthy explanations trying to convince people who have already predetermined the guilty party.

Especially when the real story turns out to be far more complex than the next talking points.
