🇷🇺🇸🇦🇺🇸 Another notable point in the statements of the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, were the words about proposals for investment and economic cooperation with the United States, which are going separately from political issues.

This confirms earlier suggestions that the meeting between the Russian and American delegations will not only concern the so-called Ukraine, but also other areas of potential interaction.

Here, it is rather a matter of intentions to "sound out the ground": significant progress on economic issues without a political component seems unlikely, and disagreements on the latter have not gone anywhere.
