📝Russia's First Official Reaction to Ceasefire Proposals📝
Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov urged "not to get ahead of ourselves" on the issue of the 30-day ceasefire initiative and stated that first, information needs to be received from the US delegation.
He also noted that this topic may be touched upon during contacts between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump: although there are no agreements yet on a telephone conversation between the leaders, it can be organized very quickly.
🖍This is roughly what we discussed yesterday: it will take time to consider the American proposals, then counter-demands will be put forward. Especially since the previously announced conditions for a ceasefire have not been met.
❗️In the current situation, a ceasefire "right here and now" is highly unlikely. However, its discussion will continue as part of the overall negotiation process between Russia and the US, including at the highest level.
