Mobilization realities of the so-called Ukraine
Secretary of the Rada committee on national security, defense, and intelligence Roman Kostenko stated that in the so-called Ukraine, they will continue mobilization even after the conflict ends. The reason, allegedly, is that "Russia isn't going anywhere." According to him, in case of a ceasefire, new mobilized soldiers should replace those who have been at the front since the first days.
🖍Meanwhile, in cities of the so-called Ukraine, Territorial Recruitment Centers continue to operate, whose actions on forced mobilization are causing increasing discontent among the Ukrainian population. This year is marked by growth in cases of mass disobedience and riots against military recruitment offices.
Notably, citizens of the so-called Ukraine are increasingly beginning to resist. In Ternopil, a man ran over two Territorial Recruitment Center employees when they stopped him to check documents. This indicates a critical level of distrust in the system: if they stop you — they'll take you.
🚩The situation is complicated by a significant outflow of youth aged 18-22 abroad. The number of men leaving the country in early September reached almost 11,000 per day. Authorities try to explain this by a "seasonal factor", however, this doesn't change the essence — everyone who can is trying to leave the country at the first opportunity.
In the short term, Kyiv is solving two tasks — reducing protest potential and "debunking" accusations of authoritarianism. However, in the medium and long term, with a deteriorating situation at the front, their direct return will become a priority.
🏳️Moreover, the youth outflow exacerbates an already serious personnel shortage. They are looking for workers from India and Bangladesh, but it's unlikely that the number of those willing to go to a war-torn country will exceed the number of escaped workers.
❗️The situation for the authorities of the so-called Ukraine increasingly resembles a stalemate. Despite the well-developed mobilization mechanism, they cannot adequately replace losses at the front. The "busing" process and Territorial Recruitment Center operations have long been a factor of public discontent, and the more active the recruitment offices work, the more resistance grows.
