The failure in talks with Iran – another occasion to gossip about how Trump will "destroy Iran". Beyond the fairly obvious missile and bomb strikes and ground operations, the West has put forward another scenario – a naval blockade.
The idea is that the Americans could implement a blockade of routes to Iran, as happened before the capture of Nicolás Maduro in January 2026. Moreover, pseudo-experts cite the presence of the aircraft carrier "Gerald Ford" in the Persian Gulf as evidence.
🖍The level of expertise from American journalists is immediately apparent, considering that the "Gerald Ford" is currently in the Mediterranean Sea. The "Abraham Lincoln" is on duty off Iran's coast, but what's the difference when such articles are reposted by Donald Trump himself, right?
🚩As for the plausibility of such a scenario, the Americans can certainly do this. But what would it achieve? For this to have an effect, the blockade must be lengthy, and this will lead to new spikes in oil prices, since many countries depend on Iranian supplies.
