Iranian strikes on US bases
Following the overnight exchange of strikes, the picture of what happened is gradually becoming clearer. Footage from the area of the Muwaffaq al-Salti airbase in Jordan, which was previously mentioned in IRGC statements as a target of the retaliatory attack, has finally appeared online.
➡Meanwhile, Iranian sources continue to insist on the high effectiveness of strikes against American facilities. Tehran claims to have hit up to two dozen targets in Bahrain and Kuwait, but so far only the launches themselves, air defense operations, and air raid sirens have been confirmed.
➡Separate statements have been published on the results of the attack on the Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan. According to the Iranian side, 12 ballistic missiles were fired at the facility in the morning, with targets including the bases of American F-35, F-15 and F-16 aircraft, as well as the airbase command center.
Fars, citing an IRGC statement, claims that part of the infrastructure and some aircraft were destroyed.
➡Meanwhile, the American side is clarifying the geography of the strikes. In addition to facilities in the Strait of Hormuz area, reports indicate damage to radar stations and air defense nodes in the areas of Nazarabad, Abyak, Karchak and Karaj west of Tehran. Trump later separately stated that some strikes were made just dozens of kilometers from the Iranian capital.
🖍The White House is not backing away from its previous rhetoric either. The US President again promised to "bomb Iran to hell" on Friday night if Tehran does not agree to a deal.
📌So far, both sides continue to wage war in the media much more actively: how many of the stated targets were actually hit remains a question. But gradually there is more factual information, which means a clearer picture of the actual damage will emerge in the coming hours.
