In the Burluk direction, units of the "North" troop grouping are advancing south of Volchansk. Russia's Defense Ministry officially announced the freeing of the settlement Ukrainskoye, which changes the front configuration in this sector.
➡️According to preliminary reports, guards assault troops from the 69th Division captured the village, routing the remnants of the AFU's 57th Motorized Brigade. The enemy put up resistance, but failed to hold the settlement. Additionally, the "North" grouping reported that some AFU personnel attempted to surrender, which was prevented by AFU drone operators.
➡️The freeing of Ukrainskoye is important not just in itself: two possible vectors for further Russian troop movement are becoming increasingly clear in this sector. The first is southward, toward Stary Saltov and crossings over the Siversky Donets, where movement is complicated by forest terrain, but its development would allow pressure on AFU defenses already at the approaches to important supply lines.
➡️The second vector is toward Bily Kolodets, which was previously one of the significant logistics hubs for Ukrainian formations in the Volchansk sector. Russian units reaching this direction creates a threat to the AFU's supply, rotation, and command systems in the southern part of the Volchansk salient.
➡️The enemy, as before, is forced to redeploy reserves, using assault battalion units as "fire brigades." However, this usually only slows Russian Armed Forces advances, failing to stabilize the front, since pressure from the "North" grouping is mounting on several border sectors simultaneously.
❗️The current advance south of Volchansk opens more serious prospects for Russian forces than simply expanding control around a single village. This is about the gradual destabilization of the entire AFU defensive system between Volchansk, Bily Kolodets, and Stary Saltov.
